The On-Line Clinical Medical Assistant Day Program prepares students to perform patient clinical skills in a medical office setting. Topics include medical terminology, anatomy of the body systems, taking patients’ medical histories, updating files, vital signs and documentation, collecting specimens and point of care testing, phlebotomy, performing 12 lead EKGs, and other procedures. Students have up to 6 months to complete this self-directed program. Textbooks are mailed to the student’s address.
Students may also sit for the national certification exam administered through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) to become a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) once they successfully complete the program. The cost of the national certification exam ($155) is not included in the fee.
Clinical Externship: Upon successful completion of the program, students will be eligible to participate in the optional 160-hour externship with a local healthcare provider. Students are responsible for any background check, drug screening, and other fee requirements needed to participate in the externship.
You may enroll in and start the On-Line Programs at any time.
There are no refunds offered with the On-Line Programs.
